SME Passport

SME Passport is an internationalization assistance program that aims to provide personalized support to SMEs demonstrating the ambition and a strong potential for developing their activities on an international level.

23 businesses will be selected to take part in SME Passport from among all applications received.

Over the course of eighteen months, these SMEs will benefit from a complete range of services and activities enabling them to speed up their business development abroad.

If your company is chosen, you will have an opportunity to:

  •   Develop a strategy and a plan of action adapted to your expansion project
  •   Master essential skills for conducting business in the countries
         you are targeting
  •   Benefit from guidance at each step of your process, from your assessment
to your meetings with potential foreign business partners
  •   Take advantage of the visibility for your company offered through the
         promotion of the program

The services and visibility offered by the program are valued at up to $25,000 CAD. If chosen, companies must agree to pay the sum of $5,000 CAD. Once paid, this non-refundable amount will serve to confirm the participants’ commitment, and to support the management of the SME Passport program.

"SME Passport gave us a better understanding of the medical market, facilitated our equipment certification process, helped us get government funding, and, lastly, enabled us to take part as an exhibitor at Europe’s largest medical congress in Düsseldorf, Germany. We are ending the year with some thirty potential distributors, and we will be able to develop a new network of partners for this promising market."
